The Action aims to support the operations of existing SMEs of the Region of Eastern Macedonia – Thrace that are substantially active in the sectors of the RIS3 strategy. 

 

The total budget of the Action amounts to 30.000.000,00€. 

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION 

An enterprise can apply for the Action if it meets the following conditions: 

  • Has at least two (2) completed financial years prior to the date of the online submission of the funding application. 
  • Be substantially active (Principal SIC or largest revenue SIC) in one (1) of the eligible (RIS3 strategy) SIC mentioned in the Proclamation during the completed financial year of 2023. 
  • The amount of the subsidised budget cannot exceed the maximum turnover achieved in the years 2022 – 2023. 
  • Legal operation according to the appropriate licensing document. 
  • The company must be registered in the Register of Beneficial Owners. 
  • Have at least 60% of the required Private Participation of the proposed investment project. 
  • Commit to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities to buildings, services, electronic environments, etc. until the completion of the project. 
  • The investment project must have the character of an incentive/initial investment (1. creation of a new establishment, 2. expansion of the production capacity of an existing establishment, 3. diversification of the production of an existing establishment into products or services not previously produced, 4. fundamental change in the overall production process of the products or in the overall provision of services to which the investment in the establishment relates) in cases where the aid scheme is the Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014. 
  • Have not, during the two (2) years preceding the application for aid, relocated to the business establishment where the initial investment for which aid is requested will take place and commit not to do so within a maximum period of two (2) years after the completion of the initial investment in cases where the Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 is the aid scheme. 

 

BUDGET & IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD 

Minimum grunt budget: Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1315 – 70.000,00€ / Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 – 300.000,00€ 

Maximum grunt budget: Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1315 – 600.000,00€ / Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014 – 1.000.000,00€ 

 

The duration of the Action implementation is twenty-four (24) months from the date of publication of the Decision of Inclusion of each project. 

 

 

EVALUATION CRITERIA & RATE OF AID 

The evaluation method will be comparative and will be based on the following criteria: 

  • Available funds in relation to the Investment Plan’s budget (> 0) 
  • Number of Employees of the Enterprise (Annual Work Units) 
  • Beneficiary’s Operating Profitability (EBITDA) 
  • Soundness, completeness and sustainability of the investment plan (> 10) 
  • Patent 

 

The minimum acceptable score is 50 points. 

 

The aid rate of the Action is 50%.
