The Action aims on the one hand to exploit the know-how of research institutions for further development and differentiation of products / services and processes in sectors that are a priority for the Regional Economy and on the other hand to support the businesses of the North Aegean Region through these institutions, to cover their technological / research needs with the ultimate aim of strengthening their productive activity and improving their economic performance.
The total budget of the Action amounts to 3.000.000,00€.
TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
An enterprise can apply for the Action if it meets – cumulatively – the following conditions:
- Be active or will be active in the North Aegean Region.
- Has at least two (2) complete closed financial years by 31/12/2023.
- Has at least one (1) of the eligible SICs listed in the Proclamation for at least one (1) closed financial year prior to the year of submission.
- Has at least two (2) Annual Work Units of paid employment in the calendar year preceding the submission of the funding application (2023 or 2024).
- Operate legally with the appropriate licensing document.
- Be registered in the Register of Beneficiaries.
- Commit to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities to buildings, services, electronic environments, etc. until the completion of the project.
- Submit an investment project whose budget does not exceed three times the maximum turnover achieved in one of the three (3) closed financial years preceding the year of submission of the application for funding.
- Not to have started work on the project before submitting the application for funding as this should be an incentive.
- Submit an investment project that is closely linked to at least one (1) Priority of the Regional Intelligent Specialization Strategy (RIS3).
BUDGET & IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD
Minimum grunt budget: 60.000,00€ – 1 SME / 60.000,00€ – 2 SMEs
Maximum grunt budget: 300.000,00€ – 1 SME / 400.000,00€ – 2 SMEs
The duration of the Action is thirty-six (36) months from the date of publication of the Decision of Inclusion of each project.
EVALUTAION CRITERIA & RATE OF AID
The evaluation method will be comparative and will be based on the following criteria:
- Description of the investment project
- Ratio of earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) to turnover for the two years 2022 – 2023
- Annual Work Unitsης επιχείρησης
- Distinctions – Awards in competitions
The minimum acceptable score is 5 points.
The aid rate of the Action is up to 80%.
